Another cool sign in my world. I just love people with a good sense of humor. This was at the Pontiac Convention Center in Janesville. Not sure what the convention center has to do with hockey...maybe someone there just has a love of the sport. Looked it up and the Convention Center is just what you'd expect...no ice. No upcoming or current hockey events. Oh well, I enjoyed it just the same (and it did make me look into the convention center - although I have no convention needs currently). Went driving past and saw the sign so I looped around to take a picture before venturing forward again. Way funny. Best sign since that Favre sign I found a couple years ago! My unrelated so stop reading now if you don't do unrelated blogging in other people's streams - even though it isn't yours and other people have the right to do whatever they want to (ah but I digress): I'm wondering about lying and liars lately and wishing they'd get hit by the puck. A couple at work: one doing something that's just wrong and then saying lie for me (um, hmm, let me think for a second: NO - oh look I didn't actually need to think about it!); the other saying they did something and I wonder why they would say that because it's soooo obvious they didn't - why not just say I didn't get a chance would you please (course maybe that would have been a lie too)... Then my girlfriend...I just don't know what's wrong with telling the truth. Maybe it's just because I'm not a good liar so I try not to do it. You have to know you're going to get caught and if you don't won't it just eat at you - it would eat at me. I find it easier to just apoligize and admit I messed up (I've had lots of practice and I'm something of an expert at the mess up!) Plus one lie creates another and another and before you know it you don't remember your first lie - ah, but the person you told it to does. It destroys trust and is proof of the person you are. I don't want any part of it. I'm not talking little white lies (to not hurt someone's feeling like - 'oh no, you look great in peach'...but still wouldn't 'well, maybe peach isn't quite right for you' be a better statement; if they really look that bad and you care do you really want them out in public like that!) I'm talking big bold in your face lying. It's not a sign of respect or caring - so I guess at least I know where I stand. That's good in it's own way, I guess! May all the lying cheats get hit by pucks today! And if I can be there to witness that'd be even better. I readily admit I won't be yelling 'duck' - although yeah, I might yell 'goose'! Most likely I'll just go Oooooh, bummer, didn't see that one coming but I'll be saying it with a slight smile (mean and evil person that I am). oblivion9999 on Flickr: Posted a Photo

Comment: While rummaging through the hard drive for another project I came across this gem. The JEL followed the CJ into town early this morning and set out two refrigerated boxcars for the UP and then parked the power here near the East leg of the wye. In the distance you can see the CJ switching out their train in the West yard. Ms. Sticky on Flickr: Posted a Photo
